Dear Glen Cove Community,
Today, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart, as we collectively come to terms with the tragedy that has occurred in our neighboring Farmingdale School District. During times of sorrow, it is crucial that we stand together as a community and show our strong support for those in need.
We have seen, time and time again, the incredible power of unity and compassion in the face of adversity. With this in mind, I would like to ask all students in the Glen Cove School District to wear green on Tuesday, September 26th. The color green represents hope, growth, and renewal, and by wearing it, we can stand together with Farmingdale as they navigate this difficult chapter.
This simple gesture speaks volumes about our empathy, unity, and the sense of togetherness that defines our community. It is a way for our students to extend their heartfelt support to our friends in Farmingdale, letting them know that we are here, and we care deeply about their well-being.
